Cycle of Ash is a named fusion created from the 404 Chick x Ash combination. It is an S-tier result that sits at the top of the Cursed-style fusion line, which means players who build the Cursed chain are aiming here once they have the ingredients.
Like all fusion-results, it does not hatch from a normal egg. You get it by collecting specific inputs and completing the fusion when you meet the requirements.
Why the 404 Chick is the foundation
Cycle of Ash starts from the 404 Chick, the self-sustaining Cursed Egg producer. That makes the chain economical: one 404 Chick keeps laying Cursed Eggs, you hatch more 404 Chicks, and the overflow feeds the 404 x Ash fusion.
The bottleneck is usually the Ash side of the recipe and the required count, not the Cursed eggs themselves.
How we think about spending Ash on it
Our view is that Cycle of Ash is an end-of-line purchase, not an early upgrade. Because it consumes a 404 Chick (or uses it as a condition) and requires Ash, the real cost is forward progress on the Cursed chain. Unless the fused unit meaningfully out-performs what you currently field, banking the chain and pushing income is usually better value than fusing early.
The one case to fuse early is when you have a surplus of both inputs and a bottleneck you cannot clear otherwise. In our testing discipline, that means you do not fuse your last producer - you fuse only after you already stand a second chain worth of 404 Chicks.

Compare it against the other endgame route, Reaper x Voodoo, before committing. Both are top-tier, but they draw on different chains; the smarter pick is whichever one your current farm is already closer to completing.
