The key to the Void branch

Astro Chick is the bridge between the early Thunder stage and the mid-game Void branch. It hatches from the Thunder Egg at a decent rate and, once hatched, becomes your main source of Void Eggs - the unit thinks in air and space, and its whole point is unlocking the Void poultry family.

Without an Astro Chick, the Void branch stays closed and you miss a big chunk of mid-game content and fusion routes.

How the Void chain opens

The route is: Nest Egg -> Viking Chicken -> Thunder Egg -> Astro Chick -> Void Egg. Each step produces the next egg type, so the whole chain depends on you keeping at least one producer alive at every link.

Astro Chick lays Void Eggs at a high rate, which means once you have one, the Void branch becomes very farmable. That is why it is more valuable than its B tier suggests.

How to get and use Astro Chick

  1. Unlock Viking Chicken first, then let it lay Thunder Eggs.
  2. Hatch Thunder Eggs in batches to find an Astro Chick.
  3. Keep Astro Chick producing Void Eggs and hatch the Void family.
  4. Keep one spare Astro Chick in reserve in case you ever sell one by mistake.
  5. Use the Void branch to strengthen mid-game progress and fusion options.

Why keep spares

The Void branch starts with Astro Chick, so losing your only copy can stall your progress. Keep at least one producer alive at all times, and store a spare when you can.

That also gives you room to use extras in any Void-related fusion without gutting your chain.

Why a B tier ranks above its label

Astro Chick's B tier describes its own combat value, which is modest. Its real rank is structural: it is the single gate to the entire Void family, and gates are worth more than fighters.

That is the pattern for every producer on this site - judge them by what they unlock and sustain, not by what they can do in a PIT fight. On that measure, Astro Chick is one of the most important units in the mid-game.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get Astro Chick?

Hatch Thunder Eggs, which come from Viking Chicken. Seed data shows about an 11% chance - verify the current rate in-game.

What does Astro Chick drop?

It lays Void Eggs, which unlock the Void-branch chickens. Keep one laying to sustain the branch.

Is Astro Chick worth keeping after mid-game?

Yes, keep at least one for the Void chain. It is cheap and prevents a progression dead-end.

Why is Astro Chick only B tier?

The tier rates its own combat value. Its importance comes from unlocking the Void branch, which the tier label does not capture.
