What is the Ascension Egg?
The Ascension Egg is the newest egg in Grow a Chicken Fighter, added in the Update 2 (Chicken Arena) release on August 22, 2026. It hatches five chickens that range from common to extremely rare, with the "Eclipse Hen" at a reported 1% as the chase pull.
Every hatch from this egg rolls a separate mutation chance on top of whatever chicken you pull, so the same base species can still come out stronger than a clean hatch.
How to get the Ascension Egg
- Rebirth Milestones: the primary method. Update 2 adds Rebirth Stones as rewards for completing rebirths - spend them in the Rebirth milestone shop to buy Ascension Eggs.
- Chicken Arena PvP: reach Master V (2,200 trophies) to earn 1 Ascension Egg, or reach the top-1% Grandmaster I rank to earn 3 Ascension Eggs.
- The Arena opens every half hour, so plan sessions around those windows to farm trophies.
Rebirth milestone payouts (community list)
A September 11, 2026 Roonby article lists the confirmed Ascension Egg milestones as: 10 Rebirths, 100 Rebirths, 250 Rebirths and 500 Rebirths - one Ascension Egg each, for four eggs total from the track.
The article also stresses there is no renewable farm for this egg outside milestones and Arena rewards, so each one is worth holding until you understand the hatch pool.
Hatch chances
Community-reported chances for the current build: Skycrest Rooster 55%, Halo Hen 27%, Oracle Chick 12%, Seraph Rooster 5%, and Eclipse Hen 1%.
Because Eclipse Hen sits at 1% and the mutation roll is separate, treat an Eclipse pull as a highlight rather than something to build your first week around.
Tips
Keep your first copy of every new Ascension chicken until the meta settles. Update 2 changed which combos matter, and recycling a unit that later becomes strong is the most common resource mistake early.
Use the in-game Egg Index to check each new chicken source, rarity and lay chance before spending your hard-earned eggs.
Frequently asked questions
What is the rarest chicken from the Ascension Egg?
Eclipse Hen at roughly 1% - currently considered one of the strongest chickens in the game by early community coverage.
How do I get Ascension Eggs?
From Rebirth Milestones (spend Rebirth Stones in the milestone shop) and from Chicken Arena rank rewards (Master V at 2,200 trophies gives 1; top-1% Grandmaster I gives 3).
How often does the Chicken Arena open?
Every half hour, per TechWiser coverage of Update 2 (Aug 22, 2026). Treat it as a scheduled window you farm trophies in.
Do all Ascension hatches mutate?
No. A separate mutation chance is rolled on top of each hatch, so it is possible to pull either way. Confirm the current odds in the in-game Egg Index.
