Update 2 (the Chicken Arena update) adds a lot more than new chickens: PvP arena, Rebirth Milestones, new Missions, the Ascension Egg and five new chickens, Recycler upgrades, better weekly shop rewards and two new codes. Here is the order that avoids wasting resources.
What is in Update 2
Update 2 in Grow a Chicken Fighter (August 22, 2026) is a major content patch. It adds a Chicken Arena (PvP), Rebirth Milestones, new Missions, an Ascension Egg with five new chickens, Recycler upgrades, and better Weekly Shop rewards. It also shipped two new codes: ASCEND and 50MVISITS.
If you jump back into normal egg grinding without checking the new menus, you can miss free rewards or waste resources, so run through the systems in the order below before farming as usual.
Join a fresh server and read Patch Notes first
Update 2 only shows up on active servers. If you join an older server and cannot see the new features, leave and join another server until the game reloads with Update 2 active.
Once inside, open the in-game Patch Notes menu (new in this update) to check everything that changed for eggs, chickens and progression.
Chicken Arena: how PvP works and rank rewards
The Chicken Arena is one of the biggest additions. You assemble a team of three chickens and battle other players for trophies. Do not pick a chicken only by its Attack stat - HP, Power, Speed, Special and fusion abilities all matter, and a chicken with a strong Special can beat one with slightly higher raw stats.
The Arena opens every half hour, so plan your sessions around those windows to farm trophies. Your rank reward pool improves as you climb, and two reported milestones matter for the Ascension Egg: reach Master V (2,200 trophies) for 1 Ascension Egg, or reach the top-1% Grandmaster I rank for 3 Ascension Eggs.
- Prepare your strongest three fight-capable chickens before queuing.
- Compare HP / Attack / Power / Speed / Special / fusion ability, not just Attack.
- Farm Arena within the opening windows each half hour.
- Climb to Master V (2,200 trophies) for 1 Ascension Egg; aim for Grandmaster I (top 1%) for 3.
Rebirth Milestones and Rebirth Stones
Rebirth Milestones are a new track that goes up to 500 Rebirths and rewards egg bundles, HP bonuses and Attack bonuses at set points. There is a Claim All button, and existing Rebirth progress can already unlock rewards, so open the menu as soon as you are on an Update 2 server.
Completing Rebirths also earns Rebirth Stones, which you spend in the milestone shop - the main way to buy Ascension Eggs. Before resetting again, check how close you are to the next milestone; pushing a few extra Rebirths can be worth it when the reward is close.
- Open Rebirth Milestones and press Claim All for anything already earned.
- Check the distance to your next milestone before each Rebirth.
- Save Rebirth Stones toward Ascension Eggs once you know the earn rate.
- Never Rebirth purely because the button is available - compare the reward against what you lose.
Ascension Egg and the five new chickens
The new Ascension Egg hatches five chickens: Skycrest Rooster (about 55%), Halo Hen (about 27%), Oracle Chick (about 12%), Seraph Rooster (about 5%) and Eclipse Hen (about 1%). Keep your first copy of every new chicken - Update 2 changed which combos matter, and a common-looking hatch can become valuable once fusion data is figured out.
Each Ascension hatch also rolls a separate mutation chance on top of the base chicken, so an Eclipse Hen with a good mutation can be exceptionally strong. Do not recycle or fuse a new chicken until its skills and value are confirmed.
New Missions, Recycler upgrades and Weekly Shop
Update 2 adds new Missions. Check the Mission menu before grinding so you can complete multiple objectives in one session - for example hatching eggs while doing combat or progression objectives.
The Recycler also received upgrades that make recycling spare chickens or eggs more rewarding, but compare the upgrade cost against the extra return before spending. The Weekly Shop has better rewards now, so check the current rotation before spending elsewhere.
The recommended order after the update
- Rejoin a fresh Update 2 server and open the Patch Notes menu.
- Open Rebirth Milestones and press Claim All.
- Check Missions and the Weekly Shop.
- Farm Chicken Arena windows for trophies.
- Earn Ascension Eggs through milestones and arena ranks.
- Return to normal egg grinding once the new systems are checked.
