Grow a Chicken Fighter Arena Tokens, Medals, Trophy Egg
The Arena update adds a full reward economy around PvP: Arena Tokens for upgrades, Arena Medals and Honor Feathers from rank-ups, an Arena Shop stocking the Trophy Egg (five-chicken pool, Secret chase pull), Player Titles and Battle Charm crafting. Here is how the currencies connect and what to spend first.
What the Arena update added
The September 2026 Arena update layers a full reward economy on top of the Chicken Arena from Update 2: Arena Tokens, Arena Medals and Honor Feathers as currencies, an Arena Shop that sells the new Trophy Egg, Player Titles, Battle Charm autocrafting, two-hour offline dice and Index milestone rewards.
All three currencies come from the same activity - winning Arena battles and climbing ranks - so the only real decision is what to buy first. The new codes CHICKENCLASH and BATTLEREADY also top up Arena Medals and Charm Dust.
Arena Season 2 and daily rewards (Sep 20 update)
A September 20, 2026 Roonby update guide reports Arena Season 2 has started (trophies reset for a fresh climb) and that the Arena now also has daily rewards - complete the daily requirement each login and claim before they lapse.
The same update adds four unnamed new chickens (details not yet documented), the Jurassic Wandering Merchant NPC, a Fossil Finder title, Trailblazer Hen in weekly rewards, two promotion shortcuts (Fill Next Star / Select All), auto-sell for max-hatch, and new rewarded videos. Season 2 meta may shift around the new chickens - test before locking a team.
How to get Arena Tokens
Arena Tokens are the progression currency of the new system. You earn them by entering Arena battles, winning matches and claiming the rewards from each rank-up - there is no way to stockpile them without climbing.
Because your rank drives every payout, win rate matters more than playtime: queue with your strongest three chickens (see our Update 2 Arena guide for team building) rather than grinding losses.
- Open the Arena from the game hub.
- Enter a battle during an opening window and win it.
- Claim the rank-up rewards, which include Arena Tokens.
- Spend Tokens on Arena upgrades before anything else.
Arena Medals, Honor Feathers and the Arena Shop
Arena Medals are the shop currency: the higher your rank, the more Medals each rank-up pays. Honor Feathers are earned the same way - through Arena wins and rank progression - and feed into the Arena Honors track.
The Arena Shop is where Medals matter: its headline item is the Trophy Egg, and Medals also cover the rest of the rotating stock. If you are saving for the Trophy Egg, resist spending Medals on small items between rank-ups.
The Trophy Egg: cost, restock and the five-chicken pool
The Trophy Egg is the Arena Shop flagship: 900 Arena Medals per egg, with the shop restocking every 24 hours and holding up to five eggs at a time - so a full daily clear costs 4,500 Medals. It cannot be bought with Robux or regular currency; Arena Medals are the only route.
The hatching pool holds five chickens: Squire Chick 45% (Rare), Banner Hen 30% (Epic), Duelist Rooster 18% (Legendary), Bohen 6% (Cosmic) and Grandmaster Rooster <1% (Secret). Grandmaster Order, his signature ability, deals up to 520% base damage with heavy knockback and boosts all allied chickens by 15% - he is the reason players keep farming Medals after the ranks cap out.
Expect a long grind for the Secret pull: below-1% odds mean the five-egg daily routine is the only real accelerator. Keep one copy of each chicken until skills and fusion value are confirmed (the same rule from Update 2 and Update 3).
What to spend first (day-one order)
A safe first-day order: redeem CHICKENCLASH and BATTLEREADY for free Medals and Charm Dust, climb to a comfortable rank while your team is fresh, spend Tokens on Arena upgrades (they only gate progression), then bank Medals toward the Trophy Egg instead of buying filler items.
Redeem the codes before you grind - the extra Medals and Charm Dust apply to the same rank rewards you are about to farm anyway.
Frequently asked questions
What are Arena Tokens used for in Grow a Chicken Fighter?
Arena Tokens pay for Arena upgrades and progression. You get them from rank-up rewards after winning Arena battles; they cannot be farmed without climbing ranks.
How do I get Arena Medals?
Win Arena battles and rank up - higher ranks pay more Medals. The new CHICKENCLASH code also grants 50 Arena Medals. Spend Medals in the Arena Shop, mainly on the Trophy Egg.
What is the Trophy Egg?
An Arena Shop-exclusive egg bought with Arena Medals (900 per egg, five restocked daily). Its pool holds five chickens including Secret-rarity Grandmaster Rooster at under 1% - it rewards consistent Arena play.
Are Arena Tokens and Arena Medals the same currency?
No - guides describe Tokens as the upgrade currency you receive from Arena progression, while Medals are spent in the Arena Shop. Honor Feathers are a third, separate reward from Arena wins.
